Dear Residents,
The Marino Residents Association wishes to bring to your attention a local planning matter.
201 Philipsburgh Avenue Marino is seeking Retention Permission.
They are seeking . Alterations to internal layout to previously approved takeaway and restaurant planning grant to facilitate the omission of restaurant seating and increased food counter..
A brief history - planning permission from Dublin City Council was granted 2009 for a restaurant and take-away, with seating for 26 people and closing time at 11:30. The business operated only as a take-away and in 2010 when Enforcement from DCC investigated this and the fact that the sign indicates 12:00 as closing time, it was fitted out with tables and chairs but it still did not operate as a restaurant. Since early 2012 a second take-away has been operating from this premises. Again we contacted Enforcement to investigated because they were not operating with in the guidelines of the planning requirements. The latest development is that retention has been sought to allow for both of the take-always.
